Suilend Launches Season 2 of Its Capsule NFTs

Suilend, a decentralized lending protocol on the layer-1 Sui blockchain, has launched Season 2 for its Capsule NFTs. The project’s team uses this non-fungible path to reward exceptional user contributions to the growth of the lending platform and the underlying blockchain network.

Last year, the Suilend protocol launched the Capsule NFTs as an additional way to reward active community members for their outstanding contributions to the protocol and its activities. Based on users’ activity levels, the Capsule NFTs are divided into three classes — common, uncommon, and rare.

Users receive common capsules for creating engaging videos, educative threads, and other meaningful content. These pink-colored NFTs are easily distributed to participants. Uncommon capsule NFTs, on the other hand, are green-colored collectibles awarded to users when they engage in technical and high-impact activities such as hackathons or highly engaging content creation. Rare capsule NFTs are white and challenging to obtain. Only users participating in technical collaboration or a significant protocol-level integration are eligible for a Suilend rare capsule.

Suilend disclosed 16 winners from the Capsule S2 round one in a recent X thread. These users contributed to the ecosystem in many ways, including onboarding new users to the platform, creating explanatory content, and informing the public of the latest Sui protocol developments. The eligible users received a direct message from the Suilend team to receive their capsule NFT rewards in their desired Web3 wallet. Suilend’s founder, Rooter, also offered some capsules to users who performed simple tasks like following and liking X tweets.

Launching rewards tied to NFTs on the Sui blockchain is not new. In October, a renowned soccer league called Major League Soccer (MLS) unveiled the MLS QUEST, an initiative that brings fans and their favorite players together. Completing a quest in the project unveiled exclusive benefits for participants.

By introducing the Capsule NFTs, Suilend shows its commitment to going beyond its comfort zone within the DeFi space and exploring the rabbit hole of NFTs. With such an attractive incentive model, the lending protocol is on track to welcome more users into its ecosystem.
